Windy City Sports Report – 12/31/12

Hello sports fans, Carlos here with your final Windy City Sports Report of 2012. In this edition, what happened at Halas Hall, the Bulls move steady, and can we just forget hockey?

Well, after a 7-1 start, the Bears went 2-5 in their last 7 games and put themselves in a situation where they had a must-win game AND needed help from their enemies, the Green Bay Packers. One of the two scenarios happened, as the Bears beat the Pussycats, err Lions, in Detroit 26-24.

Ron Santo finally made it to the Baseball Hall of Fame

Hello folks, Carlos here again for your update on Chicago sports. There were some big games, rumors, and big performances (not all for the home team), so let’s get to it.

Baseball on the south side of Chicago took a hit this week. The White Sox started the week with a 3 ½ games lead over the Detroit Tigers. That all changed by the end of the week, as they found themselves 1 ½ games BEHIND the Tigers.
