Hump Day Thoughts on Sports and Stuff – 1/9/13

by Steve Farace

Ah – my very first entry of 2013 and we have TONS to get to. Here we go!

First of all – Mr. Musburger, you should be ASHAMED of yours– haha – I couldn’t do it. Are you kidding me? ESPN releases an apology to Katherine Webb (girlfriend of a certain national champion QB from Alabama) because Brent Musburger said that she was beautiful on air and that all of the college QB’s get pretty girlfriends? Is that some kind of late breaking news that wasn’t supposed to be leaked? I mean, seriously now, what did he do wrong?? It was a good job by Katherine Webb to say that there was no apology needed. What the hell is the world coming to.

Well, Saturday was the Wild Card round in the NFL playoffs. The Bears were prepping for…oh wait, that did not happen, did it?

Nope, it did not happen. The Minnesota Vikings beat the Packers (yet another reason to hate the Packers) to grab the last spot in the NFC playoff bracket. Instead of traveling to San Francisco to face the 49ers, Lovie Smith got his traveling papers out of Chicago.

Windy City Sports Report – 12/17/12

Hello sports fans, Carlos here with the latest Windy City Sports Report. In this edition – can the Bears stop the bleeding? What are the Bulls doing? Will there EVER be hockey?

The Bears had their final home game of the year on Sunday against their hated rivals, the Green Bay Packers. On the line was the NFC North title. A win would give the Packers the title. The Bears did not want that to happen on their home turf, but that is exactly what happened as the Packers finished the job in a 21-13 victory.

Hump Day Thoughts on Sports – 11/7/12

by Steve Farace

Don’t you just hate being sick? My immune system has been attacked and I’m suffering right now. You know what I’m talking about. It starts with a sore throat and then you get stuffy all over – starts in your nose and then takes up your entire head. I don’t get sick too often, but when I do I always feel like I’m on my death-bed. Ah, the perks of having a nurse as a wife! I got the hook-up on some antibiotics and I should be on the road to recovery in no time! Damn things better hurry up and work, I’ve got a podcast to do tomorrow! Gotta love the cheap plug!
