Hello sports fans, Carlos here with the latest Windy City Sports Report. In this edition, the Bulls ride a topsy turvy wave; Bears are still looking for a coach; finally we will have hockey!

The Bulls started out their week playing the Cleveland Cavaliers at the United Center. As has been the case this season, they played down to their competition. They found themselves down by 10 early on, but straightened themselves and pulled away in a 118-92 rout. Read the rest of this entry »

Windy City Sports Report – 12/24/12


 

Hello sports fans, Carlos here with your latest Windy City Sports Report. In this edition, are the Bears still in the playoff hunt? How well are the Bulls playing without Rose? When will they cancel the hockey season?

The Bears faced the Cardinals in Arizona on Sunday, fighting for their playoff lives. It showed in their play as they cruised to a 28-13 victory.

Windy City Sports Report – 12/17/12


Hello sports fans, Carlos here with the latest Windy City Sports Report. In this edition – can the Bears stop the bleeding? What are the Bulls doing? Will there EVER be hockey?

The Bears had their final home game of the year on Sunday against their hated rivals, the Green Bay Packers. On the line was the NFC North title. A win would give the Packers the title. The Bears did not want that to happen on their home turf, but that is exactly what happened as the Packers finished the job in a 21-13 victory.

Windy City Sports Report – 10/8/12


 

Hello again sports fans, Carlos here giving you the latest Windy City Sports Report. In today’s edition, did the White Sox hang onto the division lead? Are the Cubs 100-game losers? Are the Bears still in first place? Will the Blackhawks ever play this season?

First up are the White Sox. After leading the division for most of the season, the Sox found themselves losing 11 of 13 down the stretch and were looking up at the Detroit Tigers. With the final 3 games on deck, they were 3 games behind, which meant they had to sweep their last series in Cleveland against the Indians while the Tigers had to get swept by the Royals in Kansas City.

Hello sports fans, here is your latest Windy City Sports Report. Are the White Sox closer to a division title? How are the Cubs doing playing the spoiler role? Did the Bears bounce back from the Thursday night debacle?

Well, it was going to be an interesting week for the Sox. After stumbling a bit the previous week, they found their lead in the AL Central disappeared. Windy City Sports Report – 8/20/12


Hello sports fans, welcome to the latest Windy City Sports Report. In today’s spot, do the White Sox still have a hold of first place? How are the Cubs’ kids faring? How are the Bears looking so far in the preseason?

The Sox opened the week with a 2 game lead in the AL Central over the Detroit Tigers. They had a 4 game series against the Toronto Blue Jays. They dropped a tough opening game 3-2 in extra innings. Starter Jake Peavy pitched well, allowing only 2 runs over 8 innings, but could only get a no-decision. The only offense for the Sox was Adam Dunn, who hit 2 solo home runs.

Windy City Sports Report – 8/13/12


Hello sports fans, Carlos here again for your review of Chicago sports. Do the White Sox still have a grasp of first place? What are the kids doing for the Cubs? How did the Bears do in their preseason debut?

The White Sox are in a dogfight with the Detroit Tigers for the AL Central lead. The Sox opened the week with a 3-game series with the Kansas City Royals who, although are in last place in the Central, usually play the Sox tough. It continued last week as the Royals won 2 out of the 3 games.
