Out There: Review

I just had the pleasure of watching a short film by Randal Plunkett entitled Out There.

This short film does everything right. It is a zombie flick. It does not go through the same build up of infection and how the zombies came about like we have seen a million times. Instead, you are told a story of a man who has awoken with a very bad wound on his head and his very foggy memories that come back to him little by little.

The music sets up each scene very well and does a good job of putting you on the edge of your seat. Once you see where the story is going towards the end of this 16:37 film, you find yourself anticipating the very end. This is a prequel to a feature film that is going to be done next year.

All in all I must say that I enjoyed this short film. I also think I should dedicate myself to more of these because I absolutely hate sitting in a movie theater for anything more than 2 hours.

I’d like to take the time to thank Randal Plunkett for the opportunity to review.

Final Word – 3 1/2 Stars
