Some of us have been there, done that. Some people are preparing to go to theirs right now. Some people have a few years to go, but we all have thought about it at one point or another. Our 10 year high school reunion. Who got fat? Who became successful? Whatever happened to that jerk that bullied everyone around? It is your chance at redemption. It could also be your chance to embellish a bit. Or maybe it is time to pick up where you left off with your old flame.
Channing Tatum (Mr. Sexiest Man Alive) stars in this one alongside his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Rosario Dawson. Must be nice to be the sexiest man alive – you get to work with very sexy people! Anyway, back to the movie. Everyone is nervous heading to their reunion because they have no idea what to expect out of everyone else that they haven’t seen in years. Channing Tatum’s character takes his girlfriend (played by his real-life wife) to his reunion. What he doesn’t realize is that his high school sweetheart decides to go as well.
So, here they are – former high school sweethearts – with new loved ones in their lives. Tatum with his girlfriend and Dawson with her husband. It seems as though there are times when they are trying to rekindle what once was before the evening takes an unexpected turn. Let’s just say that the girlfriend and the husband leave their loved ones behind to attempt to find their closure.
10 years has plenty of laughs and a lot of people are going to be able to relate to it. It will be especially intriguing to those of you that are coming up on this extraordinarily awkward occasion. This isn’t a blockbuster movie, but it is worth giving a shot.
