What do you say we make it a tradition with the cheap plugs to start this bad boy off with?

Don’t you just love Christmas music? I guess the politically correct thing to say would be “holiday music”. Well, as you all know by now, Steve is not politically correct. So, back to the Christmas music. It just cheers you up even if you are in the worst of moods. Stations all across the country are starting to play Christmas music and I love it. I hope you do too.
There have been rumors about certain signings in baseball (David Wright), but we had a few signings today with Jonathan Broxton heading to the Reds (Yawn) and BJ Upton going to the Braves. I think the Braves are taking a risk with this guy. His stats have declined steadily since his 2008 breakout season. He has all the tools you want in a player, but we also are talking about the ever elusive “potential”. It’s not a massive contract, but again they are taking a risk.
Sticking with baseball – the Hall of Fame ballot came out today. Who would get your vote as a first-timer on the ballot? Would it be Barry Bonds? Roger Clemens? Curt Schilling? Craig Biggio? Mike Piazza? You know where my vote would go, don’t ya?
Did you get a chance to see the Knicks and Nets game on Monday night? Talking about playoff atmosphere! The action was back and forth and the fans were going crazy. There were chants of defense in Brooklyn when the Nets had the ball and there were very loud cheers when Jerry Stackhouse was hitting a 3. There were MVP chants for Melo and MVP chants for D. Will. Great game and a sign of things to come.
Hockey = White. Hot. Garbage. Yup, still going strong!
The Giants whooped up on the Packers on Sunday night. Eli got back to being Eli and Aaron Rodgers said he has never been so embarrassed before in his life. Ah well.
I might as well keep up with the New York theme here. Have you heard the rumor of the Knicks and Lakers pulling off a trade? Pau for Amar’e. I’m not sure why the Lakers would do this deal, but as a Knick fan, I say go for it. Yeah, I know you would basically have The Los Angeles Suns, but like I’ve said before – D’Antoni was the wrong man for the job out there.
The folks over at NFL network FINALLY get a good game this week. The Saints and Falcons meet again just a few weeks after the Saints took care of business in New Orleans. I picked the Falcons back then and this time I’m going with the Saints. Don’t judge me
That’s about all for this week! Hope your hump day is going well and that you’re on your way to an enjoyable weekend! If I missed something or if you’d like to battle it out on something you didn’t agree with feel free to leave a comment!
