In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. — (C) Official Site
I loved Casino Royale and hated Quantum of Solace. How am I supposed to feel about Skyfall? At first I was apprehensive, but early reviews are pouring in and critics aren’t just saying it’s good. They are saying it is the BEST Bond ever. My apprehension has turned to pure, unadulterated excitement. Skyfall will be my birthday present.
There were only a couple of screenings for Skyfall and unfortunately, CineSportsTalk.com was unable to make it to any of them. I have heard nothing but great things about it and like Scotty said, there are people calling this the best Bond movie ever. I will be seeing this for sure and so should you!
Steven Spielberg directs Daniel Day-Lewis in Lincoln, a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come. — (C) Walt Disney
I will let Steve take the wheel on this one. He was lucky enough to see Lincoln a week ago and if you listen to our podcast, you got the early word on Spielberg’s yearly Oscar contender a couple of weeks ago.
That’s all for this week. Two heavy hitters. Lincoln for those interested in a surefire Oscar contender and Skyfall for all of you action and James Bond fans. Next week we have Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. Thank god..it’s over.
