Four everyday suburban guys come together as an excuse to escape their humdrum lives one night a week. But when they accidentally discover that their town has become overrun with aliens posing as ordinary suburbanites, they have no choice but to save their neighborhood — and the world — from total extermination. — (C) 20th Century Fox
The Watch was previously titled Neighborhood Watch, but was changed in wake of the Trayvon Martin tragedy. No matter what this film is called, there is not one funny scene in the trailer. I will be shocked if The Watch turns out to be funny, but stranger things have happened.
Whenever I see Vince Vaughn is in a movie a part of me gets really excited because of all the laughs that movie will produce. Ben Stiller killed that feeling for me with this one. It doesn’t look funny at all and that hurts my heart.
Step Up: Revoultion
Step Up Revolution is the next installment in the worldwide smash Step Up franchise, which sets the dancing against the vibrant backdrop of Miami. Emily (Kathryn McCormick) arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer and soon falls in love with Sean (Ryan Guzman), a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs, called “The Mob.” When a wealthy business man threatens to develop The Mob’s historic neighborhood and displace thousands of people, Emily must band together with Sean and The Mob to turn their performance art into protest art, and risk losing their dreams to fight for a greater cause. — (C) Summit
I’m sorry but how many of these Step Up films do we all have to suffer through. I am issuing everyone out there a personal challenge. I dare you to find me a WORSE trailer than the one for this piece of white-hot garbage Step Up:Revolution. Let’s make this one a contest. The winner gets a Blu-Ray of their choice. ( No trilogies or series) Ok I have to get going. I have a flash mob thingy at Walmart in 10 minutes!
What are they doing to us this week?!?! Scott is right – these Step Up flicks are just a horrendous waste of time, effort, money and time (yes, time again). This is the weekend to see The Dark Knight Rises if you haven’t already.
That’s all for this week. Nothing to see here. I know a lot of you might have taken the week off last week because of the senseless tragedy in Aurora, Colorado. Please go and see The Dark Knight Rises. Don’t let one psychopath ruin it for all of us. Also, while we are on the subject, if you are a parent and bring a 3 month old and a 6 month old to a midnight screening of ANY movie, something is wrong with you. NOTHING good can come of it. It’s inexcusable. It was bad enough hearing about the news on Friday morning. Once you get all the details and find out that not only are innocent people gunned down, but some of them are infants. Seriously? It was absolutely nauseating. My heart goes out to the families of all the victims, and I sincerely hope that people don’t stop going to the movies. Next week we have Total Recall and another Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie. Have a great weekend everyone!
