The Lucky One
U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault (Efron) returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive–a photograph he found of a woman he doesn’t even know. Learning her name is Beth (Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel. Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm. — (C) Warner Bros
No thank you. I saw this movie when it was called Dear John, and it was horrendous. These Nicholas Spark movie adaptations just don’t stop.
I agree. Dear John was terrible and this is following in its path – this is a no go!
Think Like a Man
Based on Steve Harvey’s best-selling book, Think Like a Man follows four interconnected and diverse men whose love lives are shaken up after the ladies they are pursuing buy Harvey’s book and start taking his advice to heart. When the band of brothers realize they have been betrayed by one of their own, they conspire using the book’s insider information to turn the tables and teach the women a lesson of their own. — (C) Official Site
Although the trailers for Think Like a Man aren’t that great, I will see it for one reason and one reason only. Kevin Hart. To me Hart is worth the price of admission. Take him out of the fray and I will go if it’s free.
This one looks like there will be some funny parts and there is now a pretty hefty following for this movie because of the book from Steve Harvey. Can’t wait to see Turtle in a movie!
In theaters Earth Day 2012, Disneynature’s newest True Life Adventure introduces Oscar, a baby chimp whose playful curiosity and zest for discovery light up the African forest until a twist of fate leaves Oscar to fend for himself with a little help from an unexpected ally. — (C) Disneynature
I don’t like chimps. They are very untrustworthy. Any animal that rips off another man’s nuts is no friend of mine. They just creep me out. Just look at their teeth.
Don’t listen to Scott – he’s a big softy for any movie with nature in it. Go have some family fun!
That’s all for this week. Nothing really that great. Your best bet is to go see The Cabin in the Woods. It is by far the most entertaining movie of the year. Next week we have some more hot garbage, John Cusack in The Raven. Jason Statham in Crank 27, I mean Safe and last but not least The Five Year Engagement with Jason Segel. Have a great weekend!
