The Cabin in the Woods
Five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen. If you think you know this story, think again. From fan favorites Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard comes The Cabin in the Woods, a mind blowing horror film that turns the genre inside out. — (C) Lionsgate
The Cabin in the Woods is on my short list of “must see” films in 2012. Producer/writer Joss Wheadon has served up a curveball in the horror genre and I will be in line on Friday. Will you?
Good or not, this should be a must see on Friday the 13th, no? It’s tough finding a good horror flick nowadays, but you can put some money down on this one to be good! Go for it!
The Three Stooges
Left on a nun’s doorstep, Larry, Curly and Moe grow up finger-poking, nyuk-nyuking and woo-woo-wooing their way to uncharted levels of knuckleheaded misadventure. Out to save their childhood home, only The Three Stooges could become embroiled in an oddball murder plot…while also stumbling into starring in a phenomenally successful TV reality show. — (C) 20th Century Fox
I was once the Farrelly brother’s greatest fan. As of late they have offered more misses than hits. I hate to admit that The Three Stooges looks like a gigantic misfire. I wasn’t a fan of the TV series so it’s going to be a complete shocker if this one turns out to be a winner.
This looks horrendous and like a complete waste of time. Whenever you go on WWE programming to promote your movie, you know you are desperate. Avoid this at all costs.
Starring Guy Pearce and Maggie Grace and set in the near future, Lockout follows a falsely convicted ex-government agent (Pearce), whose one chance at obtaining freedom lies in the dangerous mission of rescuing the President’s daughter (Grace) from rioting convicts at an outer space maximum-security prison. Lockout was directed by Stephen St. Leger and James Mather from their script co-written with Luc Besson, who is also a producer. Peter Stormare co-stars. — (C) Open Road
Chances are Lockout will be in your Redbox machine in less than a month. This has “this has straight to DVD” written all over it. Save your money and look for this one on Netflix in the near future.
This looks like 100% certified pure hot garbage. Just go see The Cabin in the Woods or enjoy some of the better weather this country is starting to see.
That’s all for this week. Be excited for The Cabin in the Woods. Everything else, not so much. Next week we have Chimpanzee, Think Like A Man, and The Lucky One. Have a great weekend everyone!
