After a roller-coaster week the date for the Miami Heat to watch is March 23. That is the final day players can be bought out of their contracts and sign with another team. Miami is in the market for a center that can help clog up the middle and pull down some rebounds when playing the bigger teams (aka Chicago) in the playoffs. The Miami Heat are very hopeful Chris Kaman can be bought out of his contract with New Orleans and come down to Miami. Kaman is top on the list of who Miami wants to get bought out and sign however there is no guarantee he is bought out of his contract and even if he is there will be competition for him. After him names like Ronny Turiaf and Dan Gadzuric who will just be another big body that may not see much of the court. Kyrylo Fesenko is a name that the Heat looked into earlier in the season and while he’s still a possibility some say he is getting back into playing shape and the Heat don’t have the time to let someone play into shape like Curry and Pittman at this point of the season.
The Heat finish the week going 2-2. They lost an overtime game to Orlando then a disappointing loss to Chicago the next day without Derrick Rose. The Heat then bounced back with wins against Philadelphia and Orlando. Chris Bosh played big against Orlando and coach Spoelstra pointed that out in the press conference Sunday night after the game. “He has to be big,” Coach Erik Spoelstra said. Bosh also played big defensively against Dwight Howard. “I just wanted to assert myself, take it personally and produce,” Bosh said. The question then raises can Chris Bosh do that on a consistent basis and still are able to produce on offense. The players know how important Bosh play can be to the team. “We feel like we’re unstoppable when C.B. is playing at a high level,” Wade said. The Heat are on a 13 game home winning streak They sit at 2 games behind Chicago with 2 meetings against them and 2 against OKC that should be circled on the Heat’s schedule.
