Man on a Ledge
An ex-cop and now wanted fugitive (Sam Worthington) stands on the ledge of a high-rise building while a hard-living New York Police Department negotiator (Elizabeth Banks)tries to talk him down. The longer they are on the ledge, the more she realizes that he might have an ulterior objective. — (C) Summit Entertainment
Man on a Ledge looks like a great little gimmick movie in the tradition of Phone Booth and Buried. I am afraid of heights, so this one is going to be tough for me to stomach.
One for the Money
Unemployed and newly-divorced Stephanie Plum lands a job at her cousin’s bail-bond business, where her first assignment puts her on the trail of a wanted local cop from her romantic past. — (C) Official Site
Based on the books by Janet Evanovich, I’m sure this one will already have a built-in female audience. As for you guys out there? Be prepared to ask the question “WTF is One for the Money”?
This one looks weak for the man crowd – please see The Grey. You’re welcome.
In The Grey, Liam Neeson leads an unruly group of oil-rig roughnecks when their plane crashes into the remote Alaskan wilderness. Battling mortal injuries and merciless weather, the survivors have only a few days to escape the icy elements – and a vicious pack of rogue wolves on the hunt – before their time runs out. — (C) Open Road Films
Out of all the films coming out early in 2012, I’d have to say I’m most looking forward to The Grey. There is nothing better than a well told man vs wilderness story. Count me in!
I’m all for any movie with Liam Neeson! Count me in as well!
That’s all for this week. Next week we have The Woman in Black, Chronicle, House at the End of the Street and The Innkeepers. Have a lovely week. Yes I just used the word lovely!
