Thor – REVIEW

The epic adventure Thor spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the mystical realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. As a result, Thor is banished to Earth where he is forced to live among humans. When the most dangerous villain of his world sends its darkest forces to invade Earth, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero.– (C) Paramount Pictures

Scott’s Take

Surprisingly, Thor was one of the pleasant surprises of the summer.  Much better than Captain America and just below X-Men: First Class for the most fun summer superhero movie. Thor is definitely worth a Blu-Ray purchase.  Click here for review.

Star Wars Blu-Ray

All six films of the Star Wars Saga (Episodes I-VI), each presented on one Blu-ray Disc to ensure maximum picture and audio quality, plus three additional discs of extras, with more than 30 hours of in-depth bonus supplements and extensive special features, including never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes, an exploration of the exclusive Star Wars archives, and much, much more, united in one complete 9-disc set.

Scott’s Take

There isn’t a more anticipated release than the Star Wars films.  What is sure to stir water cooler conversation between fans of the most beloved franchise in history. Most of the early chatter revolves around the changes George Lucas has made.  Most fans are furious.  This Friday, we are all ready to shell out the $80 and find out ourselves.

In Closing

That’s all for this week.  Obviously Star Wars is going to fly off the shelves.  Next week we have the comedy Bridesmaids.
