Steve’s Review of Colombiana

Zoe Saldana introducing Colombiana at the premiere in Miami had the privilege of being at the premiere of Colombiana on Monday night in South Beach. It was our first of many and here is what I thought about it:

The experience was a nice one and it was even nicer when Zoe Saldana showed up in person to introduce her latest movie, Colombiana.

The movie starts off with a younger version of Zoe’s character in Colombia where her parents are viciously murdered in front of her. The rest of the movie details each step she takes on her way to exacting revenge on her parents murderers. Just imagine having your parents taken away from you when you were 9 years old and the revenge that would be on your mind.

She reveals to her uncle in the United States that when she grows up she wants to be a killer. You’ve got that right – a killer. Not a doctor or a lawyer or entrepreneur, but a killer. That is where the fun begins. A good looking lady killer running rampant is always a good thing in a movie. The question is, does she get the revenge that she was looking for, or will she meet the same fate as her parents? Go see it to find out!

Colombiana has the perfect mix of action, passion and even some comedy mixed in. Zoe Saldana is riding a hot streak and in my opinion that hot streak continues with this movie as well. The action scenes are thrilling and exciting and you can feel her every emotion as the movie progresses.

This movie can and should do well at the box office. The preview should attract a lot of people and so should this review. Do yourselves a favor this weekend and go see Colombiana! Please don’t make me say I told you so.

Final Word – 3 Stars

Very cool of Zoe Saldana to be there at the premiere, must of been a blast. Definetly going to see this movie. Looks like this could be what puts her in the big leagues.
