The Next Three Days –
This is a thriller about a happily married couple who have their lives ripped apart at the seams. It poses some interesting water cooler fodder but falls flat at any attempt of real drama or suspense. John Brennan ( Russell Crowe) is pushed to the brink when his wife Lara ( Elizabeth Banks) is arrested and convicted of murder. With the help of a criminal on the run (Liam Neeson), John sets forth on an attempt to break Lara out of prison. If that just sounded ridiculous to you, imagine watching the movie. Not the worst film in the world, but I wouldn’t arrange my Friday night around it.
